ORIGINAL-CIN/NETFLIX GIVEAWAY: Canadian author Iain Reid's novel-turned-movie I'm Thinking of Ending Things
Netflix’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things - with Jessie Buckley on route to a strange visit with her boyfriend’s parents (Toni Collette and David Thewlis) - is not just the latest existential turn by writer/director Charlie Kaufman.
It’s a film treatment of the book by Canadian author Iain Reid. His debut novel, it was a finalist for the Shirley Jackson Award for psychological suspense and horror.
And we’ve got two copies of Reid’s book from Simon & Shuster to give away. At 6 p.m. Thursday, we’ll draw two names from among respondents who answer this skull-testing question.
To wit: Scripter Charlie Kaufman and his collaborator, director Spike Jonze, both made their feature film debut with a 1999 film about a celebrity out-of-body experience. Name that movie.
Send your answer to info@original-cin.ca. We’ll alert the winners by email Friday morning, and the books will be sent to them directly.
